About

It began with a dream.

Born from the dreams of Jamaican writer T.G Maye, Cauldwell Press is a Black-owned and run company that takes its name from the founder’s village in Hanover, Jamaica.

The company’s ultimate goal is to provide the finest quality reading materials to which readers of all ages and races can relate and enjoy.

A compulsive reader from an early age, Mr Maye believes the best stories are often told by those who know them. His vision was to create a place where unheard voices, especially from diverse and minority backgrounds, could find an outlet and assistance to get their stories out in the light.

As a staunch supporter of early childhood education and literacy development, Cauldwell Press provides free copies of all titles published to date to infant/kindergarten and primary schools in Western Hanover, Jamaica. In addition, the above contribution extends to the Hanover parish and Green Island branch libraries.

We live in the Internet age, but there is little that compares to the feel of an actual, honest-to-goodness book in the hands. If you’d like to discuss our bibliography, have a query or buy one of our books, please feel free to get in touch via the message form below.

We’d love to hear from you.
